Grupo Sofrito was a group that was founded and directed by Brandon Marger, that was active between 1992 – 1996. The group included both a latin jazz component and a folkloric component.
Brattleboro Capoeira Angola Group
Brandon Marger performed with the Brattleboro Capoeira Angola Group between 1998 – 2007 as their musical director and lead singer. Here are a few photos from that period.

Los Callejeros is the most recent evolution of a series of plena groups formed by Luís Melendez. After the departure of Luís Melendez, Brandon Marger took over direction of the group in 2006. Los Callejeros retained core members and repertoire from its preceding incarnations, but has continued to add new personnel and expand the repertoire. Brandon Marger continues to direct this group when they gather for occasional performances.
Brandon Marger formed Grupo Folklórico Palo Santo with Miguel Periche in 2006, and directed the group until 2011. Grupo Foklórico Palo Santo taught and performed folkloric Afro-Cuban music and dance.
